Suzuki Vitara install

My hydrogen booster is a result of 8 years of research into high efficiency electrolysis.
It is the third generation in my development stream and the first unit to be installed
outside the laboratory in a real life environment. I chose a mid 80s Suzuki Vitara with
a 1600 cc naturally aspirated engine, no fuel injection, no engine computer.

The system consists of 2 essential components, the electrolyser cell and the driving electronics.
The electrolyzer cell can take many different shapes and mainly consists of some arrangement of stainless
steel plates in close proximity. The amount of gas generated is directly proportional to the surface area
of the plate arrangement. The plates can be arranged as a stack of rectangular plates

or they can be set up as a system of concentric electrodes.
There are numerous different possible electrode arrangements and a large variety of containment
solutions depending on the space requirements of a particular application.
The custom developed driving electronics by way of a complex high frequency waveform amplified into
pulse width modulated power pulses is designed to break the hydrogen - oxygen bond
of the water molecule at or near its molecular resonance frequency (frequencies!).

Referring to the above picture the electrons of two hydrogen atoms are connected with the
eighth electron and the seventh electron of the oxygen atom. Binding energies of the 7th electron
and the 8th electron of the oxygen atom with its nuclei, which correspond to their various energy levels
are shown in the illustration above. Binding energies of the electron of the first hydrogen atom
with its proton are given there too. During low voltage high frequency electrolysis orthohydrogen
as well as monoatomic hydrogen and oxygen are created in a gaseous mixture.

orthohydrogen

This gas mixture is passed through a bubbler to prevent flashbacks from destroying the electrolyser cell.
From the bubbler the gas mixture is fed directly into the carburettor of the 1600 cc engine.

Initial observations of the effects on the engine present the following picture:

- There appears to be a reduction in fuel consumption of up to 40 %
- The engine is running cooler than it is on petrol alone
- The engine is providing higher torque at lower RPM
- The engine exhaust is venting water vapour and dripping condensed water from the recombination of 2H and O
- A "nose" test indicates a very low level of uncombusted hydrocarbons

I am already working on the next generation of electrolyzer cell which has 3 times the surface area
in the 100 mm filter housing with an expected 3 fold increase in gas production.
I have built an experimental setup and the high voltage power supply to begin a series of experiments
with high voltage high temperature (5000 degrees C) plasma electrolysis. Watch this space!
